Profile Inspector Disclaimer of Liability
ProfileInspector.com is free online tool for checking profiles of various social
networks like Facebook, MySpace, Hi5, Twitter, etc...
ProfileInspector.com can not guarantee that profiles in our databases are all fake. However, you can be sure that if some profile is in our database there is good reason we listed it there.
To explain this, there are some cases when profile can be real but looks as fake one:
- Imagine situation: Our profiles detection software makes list of 10 Facebook profiles with pictures of the same person. It is logical that one of those might be real and other 9 are fake profiles made by other persons using stolen pictures of original one... ProfileInspector.com team can't contact each person in our databases, ask for personal documents or something else, in order to find out which profile is real. First of all, we would break privacy laws if we asked for those, and second - we honestly don't want to do it because of huge amount of time process like that would require.
- Imagine situation: Person is huge fan of some celebrity... And for some personal reason decides to use his/hers picture as profile picture. Person closes profile for public (lots of people do it nowadays) and ProfileInspector.com team can't access galleries and see if there are some personal photos or only ones of celebrity or public domain pics... In case like this, we list profile in database as fake profile and here's why - there are other ways to show you're big fan of someone other then using his/hers picture as profile one. On the other side, there are thousands of fake profiles using pictures of less famous celebrities, fashion and fitness models, athletes... And that's reason why we list profiles like these in our database.
- In both cases, you are advised to use ProfileInspector.com as suggestion tool... What does it mean - if you never met person behind profile listed in our databases, you are advised to remove it from your friends list. There's small chance that you stumbled upon a real profile that looks like fake one of course, but are you willing to take that risk? :)
